The Brookhill Baptist Church will be celebrating 70 years of existence in 2027! The Brookhill Baptist Chapel was formed on Sunday, December 1, 1957 as a result of a series of prayer services held in the home of Rev. Leroy Downum with 17 people present. Services were held at the home of Rev. Downum until March 1958 when the Cafetorium at Kate Schenck Elementary School was made available to the Chapel for worship services. Sunday School was held in the homes of Church Family Members. In 1958 a tent was purchased and services were held in it for six months. Groudbreaking services were held for the chapel in June 1958.
Today, Brookhill BC is a Church that is Bound Together by the Love of God, and The Desire to Serve Him. At Brookhill, We Believe that separately, We can only do so much, but that as a WHOLE, we can be a light to the Brooks City-Base Community. We believe that knowing God is a lifelong process, and when we learn and grow together, the unity and love grows as well.
